Hello DB, This is a out of topic comment. I recently Found your lecture named “Better Photographic Composition – Beyond the Rule of Thirds” on youtube & I am extremely inspired. I am a graphic designer & i’m recently getting into photography. Unfortunately I am having problems Composing photos. So, It would immensely help me if you could suggest me Someplace( website/videos/pictures) where I can get to observe greatest photographers’ case-studies about their photo compositions.
Yousha, Your off to a good start, but if it’s composition your after, I would suggest taking a look at http://www.jaymaisel.com/ Jay is a master of composition and color. As far as case studies thats really up to you to look heavily at photography. Pick your genre and google that genre and the key words great photographer for starters. Look into the history of photography and see the trends and leaders over the past near 200 years. I also highly recommend this book, http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/740895-REG/Pearson_Education_0_321_74132_3_Book_Composition_From_Snapshots.html
One more thing DB. Do all Punctum Images need a human/living subject? or abstract/non-living things can also be a subject when it comes to Punctum images?
Punctum is image with PUNCTUATION! The perfect clouds with a perfect rainbow emerging from them falling down on George Washington’s head on Mount Rushmore would work.
That was a very special year. We had two very spiritual and symbolic public works of art at the same time. Great photo, thanks for sharing DB!
you were right there in the dark with me buddy. I still think you should include wire cutters in your night photo load out.
Stunning!
